Premiere movie 49 SUMMITS
On the 7th of November 2021 this year the long-awaited movie about the ‘Siamese twins’ of the mountaineering world, will premiere at the Dutch Mountain Filmfestival. www.49summits.com is a film about the friendship between two very different adventurers: Cas vd Gevel, the guy behind the scenes and Wilco van Rooijen, Holland’s most famous mountaineer. Both survived not only the K2 tragedy of 2008, but together they also conquered the world’s highest mountains (without O2), went to the coldest places and simply did what most people consider absolute madness. What drives them, what keeps them together? Stay tuned for more the coming months, in the run up to the premiere.
